Billie Eilish & Finneas Win Best Original Song
In-person performances made their return to Oscars 2022 after most of the original-song nominees were performed at the preshow of last year’s Academy Awards.
The trophy for best original-song went to Billie Eilish and Finneas, for “No Time to Die” from No Time to Die, while Hans Zimmer won best original score for Dune.
Eilish appeared surprised to win the prize. “This is so—I could scream,” she began. “Thank you to our 007 family, [producer] Barbara Broccoli,
MGM, [director] Cary Fukunaga, Daniel Craig, Hans Zimmer…for taking our song and making it worthy of James Bond.”
Finneas added, “Lastly, we want to thank our parents who have always been our biggest inspirations and heroes, and we love you as our parents and we love you as real people too.
Thank you so much to the academy, we promise not to lose these,” he said, gesturing to their trophies.
