National Puerto Rican Day Parade

The 65th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade is returning in a big way to New York City after the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the festivities for the last two years.

The nation's largest demonstration of cultural pride marches up New York City's Fifth Avenue from 43rd Street to 79th Street on Sunday, it's now underway.

The celebration will be broadcast live on ABC13's 24/7 livestream, it's now underway, and the parade will also be broadcast on the ABC affiliated station in Puerto Rico,

Telecinco (Channel 5), and on the station's free news and connected TV apps on Amazon FireTV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku.

The parade's scholarship gala fundraiser was held on Saturday night at the Central Park Zoo.

Since 2014, the parade's scholarship program has awarded more than $1.2 million to Puerto Rican college students.
