7.3 magnitude quake hits north Japan

Japanese  Wednesday following a  7.3-magnitude earthquake that hit off the of Fukushima prefecture, where a 2011 shudder quake a debacle at a nuclear energy station.

The district is important for northern Japan that was crushed by a destructive 9.0 shudder and torrent 11 years prior that additionally set off atomic plant total implosions.

Not long after the quake struck at 11:36 p.m. an advisory for tsunami waves of about three feet was issued for parts of the northeast coast.

The earthquake was centered off the coast of the Fukushima region, at a depth of about 40 miles.

East Japan Railway Co. said most of its train services were suspended for safety checks. Some local trains later resumed service.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters that the government was assessing the extent of damage and promised to do its utmost for rescue and relief operations.
