Braves Are Going to Miss Freddie Freeman

Freddie Freeman’s era with the Braves is likely over. The Yankees and Dodgers have seemingly been the favorites over the past few days.

But the Rays and Blue Jays have remained aggressive. There was never a sense the Braves made a strong push.

Fifteen years with the Braves, the last four as a main 10 MVP finisher, Freddie Freeman appears to be worth more to the Dodgers than to the only team he has known.

It checks out just while maturing bends guide groups more than the corona impact of marking, creating and keeping an establishment player.

Maybe there is a grand plan to keep Olson and Freeman, but no such signs have been evident from the Braves.

Freeman soon will become the seventh first basemen to sign for an average annual value of $23 million or more.

Toronto’s already made its first move since free agency re-opened, reportedly signing lefty Yusei Kikuchi to bolster the back end of the rotation.
