Matt Ryan Traded to Indianapolis Colts

Monday evening that Atlanta Falcons QB and previous Boston College Eagle Matt Ryan has been exchanged to the Indianapolis Colts for a third round pick.

Ryan was drafted third generally speaking by the Falcons out of Boston College in 2008 and proceeded to win NFL Rookie of the Year and at last NFL MVP, bringing home a NFC Championship.

Monday evening that Atlanta Falcons QB and previous Boston College Eagle Matt Ryan has been exchanged to the Indianapolis Colts for a third round pick.

The Colts are respected by a lot of people to be "a QB away" from being Super Bowl competitors, so this arrangement presents to Indianapolis much nearer to the mountain ridge.

The Falcons will be carrying roughly $40 million in dead money cap charges for Ryan and Julio Jones this year and an additional $24 million or so next year.

Evidently, an offer of a third-round pick was enough for the Falcons to move on from Ryan, their most dependable player on their roster.
